Quality printing! I've been self publishing comics for ten years, and Copywell is the best printer I've used. Good cut, quality paper, but most importantly, the customer service was bang on. I printed a 5x7.5 black and white comic (with a 10pt glossy cover) and I'm very pleased with it. I'll be back!

My experience with Copywell was Superb! It was very clear from the very first conversation with the representative Frank that Copywell is an organization that prioritizes excellence and seamless customer service. Frank was knowledgeable, competent, and very caring to walk through the book printing process with me. Every conversation thereafter was equally the same. They are very responsive and accommodating; as well as ready to answer any questions. I must add that Frank went over-and-above to meet a time sensitive timeline to print the book and I am very grateful. Once the books were printed, the quality was outstanding and very impressive. Copywell gave a detailed attention to my book (His Stories, Her Stories). The company's best features are [a] outstanding production (colour printing, binding), [b] clear e-mails, [c] transparent accounting, and [d] punctual delivery. The name "Copywell" reflects its service. It is now my favourite Canadian printer. I will certainly refer my fellow authors to Copywell.

Copywell was the fourth printer I used to print my photography and text book, "A Landscape Like No Other," about the South Okanagan. It was 60 pages with 47 full-page, full-colour photographs. They did the best job of the four and I would not hesitate to use them again. My first two printings were on U.S. -based print-on-demand services because I wanted to test the book with very small press runs. Copywell requires a minimum run of 50 copies. One had quality close to Copywell's, but at a much higher price. The other was a tiny bit cheaper, but shipped from the U.S., which was a hassle. Their quality wasn't nearly as good as Copywell's. Another Toronto-based company produced images which to me were oversaturated, they printed one or two books with the cover upside down, and their prices were significantly higher than Copywell's. My only concern with Copywell is that they could not produce a sample of one or two copies at an affordable price due to limitations of their process, but I took a chance and ordered 50 and was happy with the outcome. They even provided 10 overrun copies to me at half price.

Excellent service. Responsive staff, and work was done within the delays announced. I am self-publishing a graphic novel and had it printed with Copywell, and I'm very happy about the result!
I just found that the cost for having a physical proof printed was a bit steep. I wish it would have been included in the initial quote rather than an add on.

Everything I was looking for. I wanted offset printing done in Canada that was fairly priced. It was my first book and picking all the choices online was intimidating. Copywell's estimate was the most thoroughly detailed of the six plus requests I sent out. It was easy to send the information to my illustrator (children's book). There were no surprises as everything was detailed in the estimate. The colours turned out as vibrant as they were in the pdf from the illustrator. It was easy to send the large file. Their process is well thought out and easy to figure out. I will definitely be back for reprints after my first bunch of books sells out. Very happy with the work.

If you are looking for a great professional place to get your book printed do not look further. Go to Copywell. Everyone is very helpful and noone appears to want to dismiss you right away. I found them very professional , competent and eager to help you in whatever questions you throw at them. I had bad luck elsewhere but here I had two books printed out and everything went smoothly and quickly. If I sent off an email, I was answered promptly. I dealt with Kris mostly and he helped me greatly with all my concerns and did it with respect and pleasantness towards me. Thank you to everyone at Copywell.

Writing is a hobby for me and, with that in mind, I didn't want the self-publishing process to feel like "work". I'm so glad I chose Copywell to print my book because they made the process easy. They were very responsive with emails from day one and really quick with answering questions. I was considering a few other printing companies and what made me choose Copywell was a fair and detailed quote and the concise instructions on what to send. There was no guess work with the margins, fonts, formatting, cover specifications, etc. This is the part that could have been painful for me as a first-time author. I was so happy with the quality of the end result, from the paper to the ink quality... everything looks extremely professional. Their timeline for executing the work was accurate and their assistance in following up on the shipment after printing was a relief. My first time writing and publishing a book. I did a lot of research on who will publish my novel. I spoke with USA and Canadian companies but it was the people at Copywell that truly impressed me, guided me, made great suggestions and options. Copywell made the process easier and a lot of fun and when I received that first test print, all of the suggestions they made were felt more than seen, it was such an amazing moment in the entire process. A few months later with a few new edits and it was off to full production and once again completely satisfied with the final print. Our cottagers' association is absolutely thrilled with the books we had printed at Copywell to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The price was good. Service and communication were excellent. The quality is top notch. The finished books were ready for pick up by the estimated time. The whole process couldn't have been any better.

I highly recommend that you have a sample book printed before printing your entire run. Images always look different on-screen than they do once they are printed. Personally I found that photos on my monitor appeared lighter than the printed sample. By printing the sample it allowed me the opportunity to lighten any photos that printed darker than I anticipated and resubmit my file. It's expensive but worth every cent.

The quality of the book that Copywell produced was excellent and the silk paper they used showed the full colour artwork that was featured in the book to its best advantage. They bent over backwards to get it to us on time with a fairly tight deadline and my client was delighted!

After a financially and emotionally devastating experience publishing my first book with one of the big names I didn't know where to go.
But fortunately I found these guys and the experience was extremely good. Copywell printed a better product, they even helped with some edits and improvements, and they were friendly. This was all a change and best of all, they didn't charge me over $12,000 for only 400 books delivered to my home.

I've printed two projects now at Copywell, and I've been really happy with the results! Both were bulk orders of around 500 units, softcover and glue-bound, both arrived in a timely manner and packaged securely, and the quality of printing and cover finishing has been impressive!

I spent over 30 years researching and developing our family tree. Since I had spent so much time and effort on this project, I wanted to make sure that the printing of the books (required two volumes) reflected my desire to produce a top quality product that the entire extended family would enjoy for years to come. I am so grateful that I decided to go with Copywell. Mark and the team were outstanding, especially since they had to deal with someone who was extremely meticulous and writing for the first time. From my initial interaction with Mark, I knew right away I was in good hands. I'm a first time author and needed to have some marketing copies printed for distribution. I'm truly a novice, and Mark took the reigns, described the process, and answered all my questions. Even the 'roll your eyes' ones. And when I picked up my order, got home, and opened the box, I was thrilled with the quality of the product. My book looks amazing.
So I highly, highly recommend Copywell. They're not the most inexpensive, based on my limited research, but the little extra cost was truly worth it. 5 Stars for sure!

I've printed two projects with Copywell and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Mark helped me with printing my second graphic novel (I printed elsewhere the first time and was unhappy with the quality), and it turned out beautifully. The image/colour quality was perfect, and the book feels amazing in hand. Prices for a low-hundreds print run was competitive with all other nearby companies.

I loved Copywell so much that I returned to them with an out-of-the-box printing request: one copy each of 4 different public domain novels, printed with custom hardcovers as a gift to my wife. Mark forwarded my email to Trina, who walked me through the entire process step-by-step, designed the covers & interiors of the books for me, and was a joy to work with every step of the way. This project was a huge undertaking, in my opinion, and Trina was professional, responsive, and supportive throughout. She gave me the impression that she put as much passion into this gift as I did, and I can't wait to finish a new book to have a reason to work with Copywell again.

In addition, the staff at their Woodbridge facility has always been pleasant to visit (when I go to pick up my books).

I recently did a book order with Copywell. The service was spectacular and they took the time to answer any questions I had.
I had both soft and hardcover books printed. The quality is amazing! The soft cover prices are fantastic. The hard covers are the cheapest I have found within Canada.

I look forward to working with them again.

Copywell absolutely blew me away with the quality they were able to produce for my book project.

We had a project that was supposed to be printed on an offset press, and when we had to reduce the quantity we were printing we no longer met the minimums for any larger-scale manufacturers.

Copywell saved the day and provided a truly impressive and high-quality end-product that more than met my standards. We printed hundreds of high-resolution images in our art book and they all turned out incredibly colour accurate and clear.

On top of all of that, their customer service was impeccable. They went above and beyond to deliver the finished product we needed, and put up with a lot of changing specs and delays while we sorted out the logistics of our project. They even outsourced some printing for our covers since we were printing at the limits of their press, which saved me having to redesign the entire book to be smaller.

They happily surprised me when they were able to take on an extra job and print greeting cards that were part of our Kickstarter rewards. Again, these turned out incredibly well.

Finally, they were a huge help when they took on shipping fulfillment for a number of our orders. They were incredibly efficient and had over a hundred orders out in less than a week after we finalized our payment. On top of that, they once again sourced specialty supplies when we needed custom shipping boxes for our oversized books and the cost was still on-par with Canada Post (better, actually).

I can't recommend Copywell enough for any small-press or promotional project. I've recommended them to other companies and they've had similarly high-quality results.

I used Copywell to print and distribute the Kickstarter backers' edition of an anthology I edited, Shapers of Worlds. I was impressed with their prompt responses to my queries, the quality of the work, and the reasonable prices. I recommend them highly, and will use them again for future printing and Kickstarter fulfillment needs.

If I could give 10 stars I would in a heartbeat :) I had my cookbook printed with Copywell, and the entire experience has been stellar - from sales to prepress to production to even after sales. Trina and Mark are incredible assets for Copywell. I had expressed from the beginning that I did my research with printers overseas, but I personally found that they continuously added immeasurable value through their time, attention, expertise, and literally for actually caring for the project. When you get this crew to print your project, they are not just printing ink to paper but printing your passions and helping you achieve your project goals.

I also had Copywell create the ebook. Since my book launch, I have been marketing it through my YouTube cooking show and have been mailing hundreds of print copies across the globe. Moreover, I've received many high praises regarding the beauty of the book (the addictively smooth cover - thanks Trina!) not only from colleagues, but from paying customers around the world.

I'm looking forward to more print runs on this book plus future projects with Copywell with great anticipation :)

We recently printed a recipe photo book with Copywell as a fundraising project for a local charity. The books turned out beautifully and everyone was impressed by the quality of the print. We also appreciate the great customer service from the staff, especially Mark. This is our first print project and we asked many questions. Mark promptly responded to all our questions and was patient in guiding us through the process. Turnaround was very quick which allowed us to make a deadline. I will definitely use Copywell for all of our future projects.

I discovered Copywell after looking for a local printer to produce my photobooks. After working with Mark, I can confidently say that there is no other place I will consider getting my books made. He has been so incredibly accommodating and helpful, and I feel like I am treated so personally despite knowing there are probably many other people and orders going on. The prices for my books have also been incredibly reasonable, and I am able to continue my business successfully because of the help from everyone at Copywell. I used Copywell's services last year to print my books, as well as my posters. Not only did they have the best price (by far, lower than every other quote I was receiving, even from the US) but they were also personable and responded quickly to every question.

The quality was incredible, any time there was an issue, they were on the ball with informing us. They helped me get my black-tones perfect for the final print, as well as working on alignments/margins to make sure it printed.

In addition to that, compared to previous printers we've used, we found the colour in the print was much more true (there doesn't seem to be any weird tint that I've found with other printers during their print runs), and crisp.

100% recommend giving Copywell a chance, especially if you feel your next step is to look out of the country!
