Quality printing! I've been self publishing comics for ten years, and Copywell is the best printer I've used. Good cut, quality paper, but most importantly, the customer service was bang on. I printed a 5x7.5 black and white comic (with a 10pt glossy cover) and I'm very pleased with it. I'll be back!

My experience with Copywell was Superb! It was very clear from the very first conversation with the representative Frank that Copywell is an organization that prioritizes excellence and seamless customer service. Frank was knowledgeable, competent, and very caring to walk through the book printing process with me. Every conversation thereafter was equally the same. Copywell gave a detailed attention to my book (His Stories, Her Stories). The company's best features are [a] outstanding production (colour printing, binding), [b] clear e-mails, [c] transparent accounting, and [d] punctual delivery. The name "Copywell" reflects its service. It is now my favourite Canadian printer. I will certainly refer my fellow authors to Copywell.

Copywell was the fourth printer I used to print my photography and text book, "A Landscape Like No Other," about the South Okanagan. It was 60 pages with 47 full-page, full-colour photographs. They did the best job of the four and I would not hesitate to use them again. My first two printings were on U.S. -based print-on-demand services because I wanted to test the book with very small press runs. Copywell requires a minimum run of 50 copies. One had quality close to Copywell's, but at a much higher price. The other was a tiny bit cheaper, but shipped from the U.S., which was a hassle. Their quality wasn't nearly as good as Copywell's. Another Toronto-based company produced images which to me were oversaturated, they printed one or two books with the cover upside down, and their prices were significantly higher than Copywell's. My only concern with Copywell is that they could not produce a sample of one or two copies at an affordable price due to limitations of their process, but I took a chance and ordered 50 and was happy with the outcome. They even provided 10 overrun copies to me at half price.

I just found that the cost for having a physical proof printed was a bit steep. I wish it would have been included in the initial quote rather than an add on.

Everything I was looking for. I wanted offset printing done in Canada that was fairly priced. It was my first book and picking all the choices online was intimidating. Copywell's estimate was the most thoroughly detailed of the six plus requests I sent out. It was easy to send the information to my illustrator (children's book). There were no surprises as everything was detailed in the estimate. The colours turned out as vibrant as they were in the pdf from the illustrator. It was easy to send the large file. Their process is well thought out and easy to figure out. I will definitely be back for reprints after my first bunch of books sells out. Very happy with the work.

Printed 250 books and Copywell made the process very easy from getting several quotes with a proof and getting the product shipped in a timely manner. I found them very professional , competent and eager to help you in whatever questions you throw at them. I had bad luck elsewhere but here I had two books printed out and everything went smoothly and quickly. If I sent off an email, I was answered promptly. Writing is a hobby for me and, with that in mind, I didn't want the self-publishing process to feel like "work". I'm so glad I chose Copywell to print my book because they made the process easy. They were very responsive with emails from day one and really quick with answering questions. My first time writing and publishing a book. I did a lot of research on who will publish my novel. I spoke with USA and Canadian companies but it was the people at Copywell that truly impressed me, guided me, made great suggestions and options. Utterly fantastic work! The quality of the printing is so professional, even though I printed some independent comics, they came out beautiful. After a financially and emotionally devastating experience publishing my first book with one of the big names I didn't know where to go.
But fortunately I found these guys and the experience was extremely good. Copywell printed a better product, they even helped with some edits and improvements, and they were friendly. This was all a change and best of all, they didn't charge me over $12,000 for only 400 books delivered to my home.

I've printed two projects now at Copywell, and I've been really happy with the results! Both were bulk orders of around 500 units, softcover and glue-bound, both arrived in a timely manner and packaged securely, and the quality of printing and cover finishing has been impressive!

I spent over 30 years researching and developing our family tree. Since I had spent so much time and effort on this project, I wanted to make sure that the printing of the books (required two volumes) reflected my desire to produce a top quality product that the entire extended family would enjoy for years to come. I decided to write my memoir for my daughters. I was recommended to use Copywell for the printing and am thrilled that I did. Mark helped me with printing my second graphic novel (I printed elsewhere the first time and was unhappy with the quality), and it turned out beautifully. The image/colour quality was perfect, and the book feels amazing in hand. Prices for a low-hundreds print run was competitive with all other nearby companies.
I loved Copywell so much that I returned to them with an out-of-the-box printing request: one copy each of 4 different public domain novels, printed with custom hardcovers as a gift to my wife. Mark forwarded my email to Trina, who walked me through the entire process step-by-step, designed the covers & interiors of the books for me, and was a joy to work with every step of the way. This project was a huge undertaking, in my opinion, and Trina was professional, responsive, and supportive throughout. Copywell absolutely blew me away with the quality they were able to produce for my book project.
We had a project that was supposed to be printed on an offset press, and when we had to reduce the quantity we were printing we no longer met the minimums for any larger-scale manufacturers.
Copywell saved the day and provided a truly impressive and high-quality end-product that more than met my standards. We printed hundreds of high-resolution images in our art book and they all turned out incredibly colour accurate and clear.
On top of all of that, their customer service was impeccable. They went above and beyond to deliver the finished product we needed, and put up with a lot of changing specs and delays while we sorted out the logistics of our project. They even outsourced some printing for our covers since we were printing at the limits of their press, which saved me having to redesign the entire book to be smaller.
They happily surprised me when they were able to take on an extra job and print greeting cards that were part of our Kickstarter rewards. Again, these turned out incredibly well.
Finally, they were a huge help when they took on shipping fulfillment for a number of our orders. They were incredibly efficient and had over a hundred orders out in less than a week after we finalized our payment. On top of that, they once again sourced specialty supplies when we needed custom shipping boxes for our oversized books and the cost was still on-par with Canada Post (better, actually).
I can't recommend Copywell enough for any small-press or promotional project. I've recommended them to other companies and they've had similarly high-quality results.
